Starting next Monday, I’m hosting a brand spankin’ new link-up called Chasing History.

And y’all, I’m so excited!

Youll find all the info HERE – and an UPDATE is coming tomorrow. A blog link-up button!!!

The Bible is old and written by many, but often I’ll be reading and each word jumps off the page and seems relevant to my life – written just for me. You too?

Being a girl, I especially love reading of girls in the Bible and the way God used them, their stories, and their lives to bring us Hope.

I think these women from such a long time ago are actually a ton like us. So, join me and pick one of your favorite women in the Bible and write about her. Do a little research, read the chapter(s) over again. Dig in deep or span out wide. Just learn.

And then come back and tell us all about her – and you. Share how God is using a woman’s story from long ago to challenge you, teach you, or encourage you. We’ll chase history together.

Five Minute FridayHere’s the deal. Five Minute Friday. You go find the little prompt at the wonderful Lisa-Jo’s blog, set the time and write for five minutes, and then just stop. Where you are, no edits, just publish raw words.

I’ve lost it.

The ebb and flow and easy-go, the fast paced moments, short lived and then replaced with calm and replenishment.

Four more weeks of something crazy that I signed up for {and love}.
I’m running on less than empty. This is when you get out of the car and push it as far as you can.
Since last Friday I’ve gotten about 13 hours of sleep. In one week. I’m working every other moment and I have blisters on blisters. No shoes fit anymore because my feet are so swollen.
I’m working with some absolutely amazing people, and it’s such a blessing. But when you’re together from 6am-midnight or later, it can get a little harder to hold your tongue at times.
The wifi is broken here, which means everything is just a struggle. When you’re the Social Media intern and you can’t connect to the Internet for more than 3 minutes each day? Struggle.
I’ve lost the rhythm.
Tomorrow I leave for Birmingham. And I’m doing all I can to trust that He’ll get me to Atlanta in time to catch my flight back this weekend. Because I got majorly screwed over and don’t really have an extra $600 sitting around.
It’s a new rhythm, this no-sleep, no-alone-time, mentally drained, physically exhausted, and emotionally empty week.
But I’m sitting here, pecking at my phone before the wifi goes out, and I know it’s only for a season. And I’m thankful for this season.
I’m praying He will show me the tune so I can sing along to this new melody.
And I’m thanking Him that I’ll finally get more than 2 hours of sleep tonight. ;)
