By the time you read this, I’ll already be at camp, serving middle and high school students for a week! Your prayers would be greatly appreciated – it will be a good but hard week. I’m praying that God will move mountains.

Unfortunately, I’ll be missing Five Minute Friday, and I just couldn’t get anything ready ahead of time this week.

You could say I’ve been a little busy. ;)

I’ve read some pretty great things recently, though, and wanted to make sure to share them with y’all. And of course I had to include a free printable. Because free printables sum up so much that is good and right in this world. :)

Quick side note: I created a Facebook page for It Just Takes One! YIPPEE! I’ve been sharing posts, printables, etc. It’s many different types of awkward and weird, but can I quickly say, “Will you go like me?”

Okay, moving on.

Without further ado, let the awesome-ness begin.

1. When You Want to Give Up – Holley Gerth

For when you’re doing too much, even when it’s all so good. You don’t have to do it all. Goodness gracious, this one got me.

Strong girl, I know it’s hard for you to think that way. You feel like you need to prove you can handle all this. You worry that you’ll let someone down. You’re afraid of feeling weak or out of control. But sometimes the bravest thing you can do isn’t to just keep going. Sometimes the most courageous act is surrender. Sometimes true strength is knowing when to…

Give up.

I can’t even. Y’all. This one, every word of this one. It is just so good and so true and oh, this heart needs a reminder every once in a while.
this one, taken by Ann and found in her post (link above)

When you have Jesus on the inside, you’re never on the outside.

Let the broken say it: When you’re bruised by lies, believe truth and whisper it louder: I am my Beloved’s.

When Love’s got hold of you, there isn’t a lie in the universe that can pull you apart.

If you made me name my favorite author, the name that will come to mind and slip out my lips first has always been Karen Kingsbury. I’ve read almost every one of her (many) books, laughed out loud and cried so much I’ve used the whole box of kleenex. She has a gift for writing, and I was so thankful to meet her this past semester when she spoke at my school!
This article from Karen? My eyes were glistening by the end…how good is our God?! He knows what we need, even the little things that feel so very big.
5. A Reminder At The End Of The Week – Lisa-Jo Baker on (in)courage

For the hard week, the long week, the backed up, broken down week.

He sees you.

For the good week, the full week, the love lived in the floorboards and round the kitchen table and back out again week.

He sees you.

However your week ended. However your week began. You are as beloved today as you were at the start of it.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. ~Hebrews 13:8

He’s got you and this week and the next one.

May your week be grace-filled and love-worn. See you back next Monday for Chasing History!
