You all probably didn’t notice, but I was gone this past week.

Yup, that’s right. Even when all those posts were going up, I wasn’t at the computer.

I was in Washington D.C. with my family. Five other families were there with us, exploring D.C. and just hanging out.

My family has been friends with those other families for years. We’ve all gotten together twice a month for the past eight or so years. We went to D.C. as our final “hurrah!” since so many of us are now starting college life/taking college classes.

I knew if I spaced my Samford pictures out while I was gone, I wouldn’t have to worry about blogging while I was away. It was so nice, because I literally was online for about 40 minutes the whole trip.

On a different note, I got sick while I was there. Again, I know. It’s becoming very frustrating. I will say, though, that this time was much better. I missed out on getting to go around some parts of D.C., but I only threw up twice…so it was okay.
Have I mentioned before that my family was just in Washington D.C. last August? Yep. And before spending a few days with my family up there, I had been there with some friends. I spent the week with friends and my Bible Study leader. We learned about leadership while we were up there, but we also got to see many of the sights. So it wasn’t really a big deal that I missed out on some things, cause I had just been there.
How many times can I say “there” in one paragraph? Apparently a lot.
On another different note, after leaving D.C. my family drove to visit my mom’s side of the family before driving home. We spent a few days with them, and it was nice to see everyone again. Every time I see my grandparents, especially my grandpa (PapPop), I know I might not see them again for a long, long time…if you know what I mean.
So it was nice to see them. PapPop is turning 80 next month, so we threw him a little surprise party while we were there, hung out a little bit, watched my cousins big dance recital dress rehearsal thingie (she’s awesomeee), and then drove through the night to get home so I could go to my Jamaica meeting.

I hope you like run-on sentences, because you just read one. Happy to satisfy your grammar needs.

:)
Anywho, we got back in at about 6 in the morning, I slept some, and then headed to church. Then I came home and did pretty much nothing.

Yesterday I caught up on about 5 or so hours of TV that I missed while I was gone, and then I read through a weeks worth of blog posts. About 50-60 I would estimate. I was tired of looking at a screen, so I decided I would write this post later, which turned out to be today. I have some more blog post ideas, but it’s back to the real world now. I have work and things that have to get done, so I don’t know how often I’ll be posting.
For now, I’ll leave you with some pictures I took last August when I was in D.C.
