*Quick thing before the real post: I leave tomorrow morning for Miami. While there, we’ll find out whether I have cancer or not. I’m choosing to believe that I do not. I’m almost certain that God has healed me. If He hasn’t, then okay, we’ll go from there. But I personally believe that I am totally cancer free. Also, tomorrow I will be getting my stitches out. Ouch. Oh well…after that I can put it all behind me. Literally. :D*

Welcome to Sunday Song!

This is my attempt to post regularly every Sunday about a song I love. The key word is attempt.

I post the lyrics and then post them again (because I’m redundant-which you already know, if you frequently visit here)…but the second time I include my thoughts. There’s also a video of the song that you can play while reading the post.

Lifesong by Casting Crowns

Empty hands held high
Such small sacrifice
If not joined with my life
I sing in vain tonight

May the words I say
And the things I do
Make my lifesong sing
Bring a smile to you

Chorus:
Let my lifesong sing to You
Let my lifesong sing to You
I want to sign your name
To the end of this day
Knowing that my heart was true
Let my lifesong sing to You

Lord, I give my life
A living sacrifice
To reach a world in need
To be Your hands and feet

So may the words I say
And the things I do
Make my lifesong sing
Bring a smile to You

Chorus

Hallelujah, Hallelujah,
Let my lifesong sing to You (x3)

Empty hands held high
Such small sacrifice
If not joined with my life
I sing in vain tonight

May the words I say
And the things I do
Make my lifesong sing
Bring a smile to you

I love worshipping Him and just letting it all go. Trying to bring a smile to His face, after all He’s done for me, seems like such a small thing. But I love to try to make Him smile anyways. When I live my life for Him, I trust that I’m making Him smile. I want my words AND my actions to make Him happy.

The thing is, if it’s all talk and no actions then I’m talking in vain. I’m being hypocritical. I don’t want to be that sort of person. I want my LIFE to sing to Him, not just my words.

Chorus:
Let my lifesong sing to You
Let my lifesong sing to You
I want to sign your name
To the end of this day
Knowing that my heart was true
Let my lifesong sing to You

Lord, I give my life
A living sacrifice
To reach a world in need
To be Your hands and feet

Whatever happens to me, I want God to receive all the glory and praise. I want my Story to reach people for Him. Maybe my brain tumor story will impact people that otherwise wouldn’t have heard about Jesus. I don’t know. It’s just a thought. But if that’s the case, it was way more than worth it. Whether I have cancer or not, I want my life to be a sacrifice to Him. He already sacrificed it all for me (and you).

So may the words I say
And the things I do
Make my lifesong sing
Bring a smile to You

Chorus

Hallelujah, Hallelujah,
Let my lifesong sing to You (x3)
