I posted yesterday about beginning 100 Joys. I’ll post every day (hopefully!) with joys I have seen/noticed through out the day. This will go on for the month of December. Because I shared about it and explained it yesterday, today I will be posting joys from both yesterday and today. So settle in for a long (but joyfilled) post. :)

Also, I love the way Sarah Markley is organizing (not the right word, but after sitting here for a while trying to think of the right word…I’m at a loss) her 100 Joys posts. All the joys are underlined and then the number (out of 100) is after each joy. I’ll do the same, because I’m too lazy to think up a new way and because her way just looks so nice.

To begin this project, I’ll mention that I went to work yesterday (1), which isn’t anything unusual. I work every day this week, in fact. And although there are times when I’d rather get a day off to catch up on sleep, I’m so thankful for a job. And the job I have? It’s a blessing.

There’s this guy at my work that has been there since WAY before I ever started. He’s about 70 years old, and is so super nice. Now that it’s the Christmas season, he goes around singing Christmas songs while working (2). And yesterday I had just clocked out of work when he went on a rant. It was hysterical and it made me laugh so hard (3). I love laughing, so that was definitely a joy.

Later on I went to church to help sell tickets for a show I am in (4). Since 3rd grade I have been in the same Christmas show every year, minus last year because the show was ‘canceled,’ for lack of a better term. For the past few years I’ve volunteered a lot of time at the ticket ‘office’ selling tickets, mailing tickets, etc. It was really nice to spend some time there this year, since it’s a volunteer job that I really love.

And then I went home to watch the season premiere of Top Chef All-Stars (5). Oh yes. I am so stinkin excited for this season. Almost all of my favorites are back to compete again, and I’m stoked!

My dad and I ate popcorn while watching it (6), and popcorn makes all things better.

That was yesterday, so let’s move on to today’s joys! At work this morning a ladies water broke (7). It was really cool to see how well people responded, and how SO many people had no clue anything was even out of the ordinary. There was a screaming child that was there and my boss (well, one of them) turned to someone and jokingly said, “well, there it is!” (8)…and the person fell for it. I laughed so hard, because seriously the little screaming toddler sounded like a newborn baby.

For dinner tonight we went to Five Guys (9), and it was great as usual. Now I’m back home so that I can watch GREY’S ANATOMY (10) in happiness and hopefully silence, so that I can marvel in the drama that is sure to unfold this week. :)

One more thing that definitely brought joy…ACT scores! (11) I checked online a day or two ago, and saw my score. But today I got the official letter in the mail saying how I ranked against all the test scores this year. I feel really good about my score, so that’s definitely a relief. Now it’s done and over with.

And now I must go because Grey’s? It’s calling my name.
