There’s a lot of hard stuff going on around the world, splashing across our newsfeeds and TVs, and filling our daily lives. Take a moment and slow down. Allow these Bible verses about peace to remind you that God is in control. He’s got it. He’s got you.

WHY WE CAN HAVE PEACE

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” // John 16:33

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. // John 14:27

In peace I will lie down and sleep for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. // Psalm 4:8

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. // Isaiah 26:3

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. // Isaiah 53:5

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you. // Isaiah 54:10

HE IS OUR PEACE

For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility. // Ephesians 2:14

For God is not a God of disorder but of peace. // 1 Corinthians 14:33

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. // 2 Thessalonians 3:16

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. // Philippians 4:7

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. // Romans 5:1

LIVE IN PEACE WITH OTHERS

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. // Matthew 5:9

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. // Romans 12:18

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. // Romans 15:13

Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. // Romans 14:19
