I have a lot of emotions today. {And some thoughts and also a lot of info about free things so keep on reading!}

February 23, 2016: a totally normal day and also the day I became an author.

Even If Not: Living, Loving, and Learning in the in Between releases today!

This is not the book I thought I would write and these are not the stories I wanted down in ink for the world to read, and yet I am completely certain it is exactly what I was called to write and share.

This book is my heart all bound up into a couple hundred pages.

My prayer is that the words printed on the pages of Even If Not will be a flicker of light to those walking in the dark, a safe place to doubt your doubts and voice your questions, a call to hold fast to the truth and a reminder that on every page and in every story, Jesus is present and faithful.

My hope is that each person walking through an in between, a season of uncertainty or change, or struggling to find God in the midst of their story will open these pages and see Him there.

My heart is to bring glory only and always to the Author of it all.

I wrote the words, but He gave them to me.

Even If Not begins with a prayer {you’ll find it at the end of the introduction, right before chapter one: questions & answers} and ends with a prayer. It seemed fitting, as the rest of the pages hold His Story told through my history. Writing the book broke me and healed me in many ways. It was a breeze and it was a fight. It came at a high cost. It brought me to tears and to my knees and then it made me laugh out loud over His overwhelming goodness.

It has been a journey, one that is only just beginning.

I’ve messed up 100 times for every 1 time I’ve gotten it close to right. The stories in the book prove that to be true. But today, I know my Father is so near, whispering the words I long to hear when I see Him face to face, and that feels so very good.

And so it’s a normal, regular day over here. But it’s also a day to celebrate.

Today I am grateful for the road He has called me to, the story He gave me to live & tell, and for whatever the next page of this in between will hold.
